Job Description:
A company is looking for a Patient Advocate Specialist to assist
patients with eligibility for assistance programs and resolve
account balances for medical services.
Key Responsibilities
Screen patients for eligibility for state and federal assistance
programs
Assist patients with applications for appropriate assistance
programs and provide detailed instructions
Maintain accurate documentation and follow up on applications until
benefits are secured
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
Experience with medical coding or billing preferred
Proficient PC knowledge with typing speed of 30-40 wpm
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
effectively
