Technician II (AN003)Veterinary Technician III (AN004)Tasks:Work
closely with other hospital services to best support emergent
patient care needsAssist with the care and regular nursing needs
for patients housed in the critical care unitAssist with catheter
placement (iv, urinary, etc.)Ensure charges are entered in a timely
and correct manner for hospital patientsAssist the Emergency and
Critical Care Units with client communications. Document all client
communications in the patient log.Collect and submit patient lab
samplesFollow all hospital and UW campus policies and
proceduresGain knowledge on unit equipment and use. Assist with
unit equipment operation and regular maintenance. Advise supervisor
of equipment issues or repair needs.Participate in rotating on-call
shifts as required by the hospitalParticipate in the training and
mentoring of staff and studentsAssist with filling pharmaceutical
requests after-hours for hospitalized patientsAssist in
radiographing patients after-hoursAssist with sedation and
anesthesia for patients in the ECCPrioritize triage and

substitute years of experience for specialization.To qualify for
Level 3: Veterinary Tech Specialist (VTS), or highly qualified and
specialized in a specific area, may have prior experience from

Emergency and Critical Care Units (ECC) have a variety of shifts
available! Schedule determined based on unit need.ECC positions
offer a substantial $3.00/hour increase on your base pay. Opting
for a flexible schedule further enhances your earnings with an
additional $2.00/ hour. Earn an extra $3.00/hour for night shifts
and $1.80/hour for weekends, creating a total shift incentive
potential of nearly $10.00/ hour!Position will include holiday and
weekend shifts. Potential for additional on-call hours as required
by the hospital.Work Type:Full or Part Time: 60% - 100%It is
anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person,
onsite, at a designated campus work location.Appointment Type,
Duration:Ongoing/RenewableSalary:Minimum $23.00 Maximum $35.00
HOURLYDepending on QualificationsIn addition to the base pay listed
in this posting, ECC positions offer a substantial $3.00/hour
