work!Position SummaryThe Executive Director is a global leader
within the organization and is responsible for the leadership,
organization and management of the Safety Pharmacology groups in
Huntingdon (UK), Harrogate (UK), Madison (USA) and Shanghai
(China), and Safety Pharmacology work performed by Safety
Assessment in Greenfield (USA), Muenster (Germany), and Shanghai.
This includes the overall management and coordination of Safety
Pharmacology, in conjunction with local leaders, such that all work
conducted provides an efficient, high-quality service to both
internal and external clients.Key Responsibilities
- Identifies and articulates vision for global scientific best
practices and leverages as appropriate in Safety Pharmacology.
- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for
strategic Safety Pharmacology relationships with clients and
working with Business Development to manage these
relationships.
- Enhances the scientific profile of the organization through
attendance and presentation at scientific symposia and meetings,
and in working as part of expert groups in collaboration with
industry associations and consortia.What we're looking for in you:
- Experienced leader and scientific expert in Safety Pharmacology
or an aspect of Safety Pharmacology will be considered.
- Skilled communicator in delivering presentations and leading
meetings.
- Skilled in strategy, planning and budgeting.
- Skilled in negotiating.

- PhD in Safety Pharmacology, Pharmacology or Toxicology, or
strong knowledge of Safety Pharmacology, as evidenced by name
recognition in the industry, presentations given, papers published,
etc.Experience
- Minimum of 12 years related experience.People Responsibilities
- Line management, coaching and leadership of a Global team.
- Ensures appropriate resources are available for assigning
resources (personnel, space, and equipment) as needed to meet
client expectations and business needs.
- Implements appropriate affirmative action, salary
administration and staff communication programs within the
department.
- Determines and establishes department organizational structure
and supervisory relationships.
- Develops department capabilities and resources to meet both
present and future needs.Essential Job Duties
- Work with local leaders in the design and implementation of the
overall global strategy for Safety Pharmacology within the
organization, including optimization of global support of relevant
markets across North America, Asia and Europe.
- Ensures the scientific objectivity, credibility and expertise
of the Safety Pharmacology business segment. Ensures all Safety
Pharmacology services are delivered to Quality standards and
targets.
- In collaboration with Site Leaders, develops the global
operational plan, which identifies the areas in which the global
group will concentrate its scientific and operational efforts.
Implements the necessary strategies to accomplish these goals.
- Provides guidance and support through matrix management of the
Lead Scientific Staff in Muenster, Greenfield and Shanghai.
- Provides scientific leadership in sales and marketing
development activities with clients. Support client activities
including on site tours and act as client liaison for key programs
or initiatives.
- May lead marketing development activities in research areas
critical to the department.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.Application Window

will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant
experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal
equity and market data.The position is also eligible for an annual
bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on
corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to
individual performance modifiers.Benefits:Employees regularly
scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for
